The 240 Series is Sonic's 2-flute solid carbide end mill for aluminum high speed machining.
Two flutes provide the chip clearance HSM strategies require at elevated feed rates and surface speeds. Three-flute geometry risks chip packing at the engagement percentages trochoidal toolpaths produce.
The 240 Series is optimized for radial trochoidal and high-efficiency strategies where low engagement percentage and consistent spindle load define the process.
