100C Series

The 100C Series is Sonic's 4-flute chipbreaker end mill for steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys.

Chipbreaker geometry interrupts chip formation before long, stringy strands develop and pack in the flutes during deep pocketing or full-slot passes. In steel, chip packing carries higher risk than in aluminum. The mass and hardness of steel chips cause cutting edge failure when evacuation fails. The chipbreaker addresses this mechanically.
