970 Series

The 970 Series is Sonic's solid carbide keyseat cutter for keyway slots and woodruff key features.

Keyseat geometry machines the T-shaped slot profile in a single pass that a standard end mill cannot produce without a separate undercutting operation. Applications include shaft keyways, woodruff key slots, and keyed bore features in steel, aluminum, stainless, and hard materials.

Solid carbide maintains geometry through the interrupted cut conditions keyseat milling produces. Multiple widths available.
