950 Series

The 950 Series is Sonic's solid carbide corner rounding end mill for convex radius features and edge breaking. Corner rounding geometry produces a consistent convex radius in a single pass. Applications include functional edge breaks that reduce stress concentrations on machined parts, and decorative radius profiles. The radius comes from the tool geometry, and a 2.5° entrance and exit angle blends it into the faces. Radii run 1/64"–1/4".

Sonic offers the 950 in AlTiN for steel, titanium alloys, and Inconel, and in TiB2 for aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. Sonic grinds every shank to h6 for precision holders and leaves a ground finish, not a polished one, so the shank resists slipping. Every tool is engraved with its lot number for traceability.
