Tool 100Cm050A
Heavy cuts in steel generate heat and long chips that pack flutes. The 100Cm050A addresses both with engineered geometry and a coating that stays put under thermal stress.
- Chipbreaker geometry along the cutting edges fractures chips into smaller segments before they can wrap or pack the flutes.
- This becomes critical in deeper axial passes or extended radial cuts where chip evacuation typically becomes problematic.
- Four flutes distribute cutting forces evenly across the 5" diameter.
- TiAlSiN coating maintains hardness at elevated temperatures better than standard TiAlN.
- The aluminum content forms a protective oxide layer during cutting, extending tool life in steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys.
- Corner radius of R0.1" strengthens the cutting edge against chipping while maintaining acceptable edge sharpness for finishing operations.
