Tool 100Cm050FA

Heavy cuts in hardened steel demand more than sharp edges. The 100Cm050FA puts TiAlSiN coating where heat buildup typically kills tool life, while chipbreaker geometry fragments chips before they can weld to the cutting surface or drag thermal energy back into the workpiece.

  • Four flutes balance material removal with chip evacuation across the full 5" cutting diameter.
  • The R0.1" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge at the point where maximum loads concentrate, reducing chipping and premature failure in interrupted cuts common to steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloy work.
  • TiAlSiN coating maintains hardness at elevated temperatures better than uncoated carbide.
  • This matters during the extended cuts where a 5" end mill operates, particularly in materials that work-harden under heat.
