Tool 100Ri125LA
Small diameter roughing means more spindle speed and more heat buildup per unit of cutting edge. The 100Ri125LA handles this with TiAlSiN coating over 4-flute geometry designed to fragment chips before they can pack or pull heat into the cut.
- That 0.125" cutting diameter wants to run fast in steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys, but standard end mills load up or wear out quickly at those parameters.
- The chipbreaker geometry along each cutting edge breaks material into manageable pieces that clear the cut instead of welding to the tool.
- TiAlSiN coating adds thermal barrier protection where small tools need it most.
- The 0.004" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge against microfractures that kill small diameter tools.
- This isn't a finishing operation.
- Remove material, clear chips, move to the next pass.
