Tool 100Ri156A

Small diameter roughers snap. They can't handle the loads that come with aggressive material removal, especially in harder alloys where cutting forces spike. The 100Ri156A addresses this with a 0.1563" diameter built around chipbreaker geometry that reduces cutting forces by fragmenting chips before they can pack or pull heat into the cut.

  • The TiAlSiN coating adds thermal barrier protection where it matters most.
  • When you're pushing feed rates in steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys, that aluminum content helps the tool shed heat while the silicon nitride base maintains hardness.
  • The 0.004" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge against micro-chipping that kills small tools in interrupted cuts.
  • Four flutes give you the surface speed you need without overloading the spindle.
  • This isn't a finisher.
  • It's for hogging material in tight spaces.
