Small diameter roughing operations demand careful balance between aggression and tool survival. The 100Ri188FA brings 4-flute chipbreaker geometry to 3/16" diameter work in steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys. TiAlSiN coating extends tool life in these harder materials by maintaining edge sharpness under heat and providing lubricity when cutting forces spike.

The chipbreaker design segments chips before they can wrap around the small diameter tool body or pack into the limited flute space.
At this diameter, chip evacuation becomes critical.
There's less room for error when chips decide to stick around.
The 0.004" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge against the sudden loading that happens when small tools bite into interrupted cuts or scale.
