Tool 100Ri188LFA
Small diameter roughing calls for balance. You need material removal but can't afford tool breakage on a 3/16" end mill. The 100Ri188LFA runs TiAlSiN coating over 4-flute geometry specifically because smaller tools generate more heat per unit volume of material removed.
- That coating manages the thermal load while the chipbreaker geometry does what it always does.
- Fragments chips before they pack the flutes or drag heat into the cut.
- The 0.004" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge without sacrificing the aggressive bite you need for steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys.
- At this diameter, you're often working in confined spaces or detailed features where setup rigidity matters more than raw horsepower.
- The geometry handles chip evacuation.
- The coating handles the heat.
- You handle the feed rate.
