Small diameter roughing is where most end mills fail. The tool deflects, the setup chatters, or heat builds up faster than you can clear chips. This 0.3125" diameter 100R Series rougher addresses those issues with chipbreaker geometry that fractures material into manageable pieces before they can pack the narrow flutes.

The TiAlSiN coating handles the thermal load better than uncoated carbide in steel and titanium cuts.
That aluminum content in the coating forms an oxide layer at cutting temperatures, creating a thermal barrier between the tool and workpiece.
The 0.006" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge without sacrificing the aggressive bite you need for material removal.
Four flutes give you surface footage at smaller diameters.
This isn't a finishing tool.
