Tool 100Ri375LA
Breaking tools on interrupted cuts costs more than time. The 100Ri375LA handles steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys where standard end mills struggle with chip control and heat buildup. This 4-flute solid carbide rougher uses chipbreaker geometry along the cutting edge to fracture chips before they can pack the flutes or pull heat back into the workpiece.
- The TiAlSiN coating adds thermal barrier protection at higher cutting speeds.
- The aluminum content in the coating forms a protective oxide layer that keeps cutting edge temperatures down during extended roughing passes.
- A 0.006" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge against chipping on entry and exit.
- The 0.375" diameter works well in smaller fixtures where larger tools won't fit but you still need aggressive material removal rates.
- This isn't a finishing tool.
- Run it hard, clear material fast, then switch to your finisher.
