Tool 100Ri500A
Roughing in harder alloys means managing heat and wear while maintaining feed rates. The 100Ri500A tackles steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys with chipbreaker geometry that fragments chips before they can pack the flutes or conduct heat back to the cutting edge. Four flutes give you the balance between material removal rate and chip evacuation space.
- The TiAlSiN coating adds aluminum content to the standard TiN base, which improves high-temperature stability when cutting through work-hardening materials like stainless or nickel alloys.
- The 0.008" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge without sacrificing sharpness, reducing microchipping that kills tool life in interrupted cuts.
- This isn't a finishing tool.
- Run it hard to clear material, then switch to your finisher for surface requirements.
