Tool 100Ri625A

Roughing steel and titanium puts serious thermal stress on cutting edges. The 100Ri625A handles this with TiAlSiN coating over solid carbide. The aluminum content in the coating creates a thermal barrier that keeps cutting temperatures manageable when you're pulling heavy chips at aggressive feeds.

  • The 4-flute design balances chip evacuation with tool rigidity.
  • Chipbreaker geometry along each flute fractures chips before they can work-harden or pack the gullets.
  • The 0.008" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge against the impact loads you get when roughing interrupted cuts or scale.
  • This isn't a finishing tool.
  • Surface finish will reflect the aggressive parameters.
  • The 5/8" diameter gives you the mass to run the feeds these materials require without deflection.
  • Follow with a finisher for final dimensions and surface quality.
