Tool 100Rm030LA
Heavy cuts in hard materials generate heat that kills tools faster than wear. The 100Rm030LA handles this with TiAlSiN coating that forms a protective aluminum oxide layer at cutting temperatures, keeping heat in the chip instead of the carbide substrate.
- This is a 3" diameter rougher with chipbreaker geometry that segments chips before they pack the flutes or drag heat back through the cut.
- The 0.1" chamfer distributes cutting forces across more carbide than a sharp corner, extending tool life when you're pushing feed rates in steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys.
- Four flutes balance material removal rate with chip evacuation space.
- The coating extends tool life in applications where uncoated carbide would fail from thermal stress.
- You'll still need a finisher afterward.
- This leaves stepover marks and tool signatures.
- That's expected behavior, not a problem.
