Tool 100Rm040FA
Roughing heavy sections means dealing with heat, chips, and tool wear all at once. The 100Rm040FA handles 4-inch diameter cuts in steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys without backing down from the thermal load these materials generate at size.
- The TiAlSiN coating runs cooler than uncoated carbide and extends tool life when you're hogging out material at this scale.
- Heat buildup becomes the limiting factor on large diameter roughing operations, and this coating dissipates temperature while maintaining hardness.
- The chipbreaker geometry still does the primary work of fragmenting chips before they pack the flutes, but the coating keeps the cutting edges intact longer under sustained load.
- The 0.1" chamfer strengthens the corner where impact stress concentrates on interrupted cuts.
- Not a finishing tool.
- This removes stock so your finisher can do its job.
