Tool 100Rm040LFA
Taking a 4" bite out of hardened steel means heat. Lots of it. The 100Rm040LFA handles that thermal load with TiAlSiN coating over the chipbreaker geometry. The coating keeps cutting temperatures down while the interrupted edge design breaks chips before they can pack the flutes or pull heat back into the workpiece.
- Four flutes give you the feed rates you need at this diameter without sacrificing surface footage.
- The 0.1" chamfer strengthens each cutting edge against the shock loads that come with heavy roughing passes in steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys.
- This isn't precision work.
- It's about moving metal fast and keeping the tool intact through the cut.
- The finish it leaves needs work.
- That's what finishers are for.
