The 100Rm050LFA is a 5mm 4-flute rougher from the 100R Series, for roughing small pockets and slots in steel, iron, titanium and nickel alloys. The F in the part number means a reduced neck behind the flutes, so you reach 31mm from the tip, deeper than its 15mm length of cut.

The roughing profile breaks the chip into short segments, so each part of the edge carries less load and the cut vibrates less in harder materials.
Lower cutting forces let you run more radial and axial engagement than a standard end mill before chatter starts.
The end is center cutting, so you can ramp and plunge.
Sonic shapes the roughing profile so you can raise the feed rate while keeping recut down.
You clamp a 6mm shank, stiffer than a 5mm one, and get the reach from the neck.
A 0.1mm x 45° corner chamfer improves corner life over a sharp corner.
The TiAlSiN coating is built for heat: it holds up to 1000°C and its low-friction surface cuts down wear.
