100R Series

Tool 100Rm080A

Eight inches of cutting diameter means you're moving serious material. The 100Rm080A handles heavy roughing cuts in steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys where smaller tools would bog down or chatter from the load.

  • The TiAlSiN coating adds thermal barrier protection at these larger diameters where heat buildup becomes critical.
  • Aluminum content in the coating helps it shed heat faster than standard TiN, while the silicon nitride structure maintains hardness under temperature cycling.
  • That matters when you're pulling long, aggressive passes that would cook an uncoated tool.
  • Four flutes with chipbreaker geometry fragment chips before they pack the gullets.
  • The 0.15" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge against impact loads and micro-chipping that larger end mills typically see in interrupted cuts.
  • Not a finishing tool.
  • This leaves material for your finisher to clean up.
