Tool 100Rm100LA

Ten inches of cutting diameter means you're moving serious material. The heat and chip load that comes with large roughing operations will kill an uncoated tool fast. The 100Rm100LA carries TiAlSiN coating specifically because aluminum content in the coating forms a protective oxide layer at cutting temperatures. It actually gets more heat-resistant as things warm up.

  • Four flutes with chipbreaker geometry along each edge fragment chips before they can pack or weld to the tool face.
  • That 0.15" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge against the impact loads common in interrupted cuts and heavy roughing passes.
  • You're not chasing perfect surface finish here.
  • You're clearing stock efficiently in steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys where crater wear and built-up edge would otherwise shut you down.
