Tool 100Rm160A

Large roughers see more load, more heat, more opportunity to fail. The 100Rm160A is a 16" diameter solid carbide rougher with TiAlSiN coating and 4-flute geometry designed for steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys where you need serious material removal without the tool walking away from the cut.

The TiAlSiN coating adds thermal barrier properties that matter at this scale.
Higher cutting temperatures want to break down the carbide substrate, and the coating keeps that heat from penetrating while maintaining lubricity in the cut.
The 0.2" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge against the impact loads that come with interrupted cuts and varying material conditions.
Chipbreaker geometry along the flutes fragments chips before they pack or pull heat back into the cutting zone.
This isn't a finishing tool.
It removes stock fast so your finisher can do what it does best.
