Tool 100Rm200L
Taking a 20" cut in steel without building heat requires geometry that moves chips out fast. The 100R Series 4-flute rougher uses chipbreaker geometry along the cutting edge to fracture chips into manageable pieces before they can pack the flutes or create heat buildup that kills tools and ruins setups.
- The uncoated carbide substrate gives you the sharp cutting edge needed for initial material engagement in steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys.
- The 0.2" chamfer strengthens the cutting edge at the corner where stress concentrates during heavy cuts.
- Four flutes balance material removal rate with chip evacuation space.
- This isn't a finishing tool.
- You're looking at rough material removal where surface finish takes second place to getting material off the part without chatter or tool failure.
- Follow with a finisher for the surface quality.
