Tool 100i156L030A

Small diameter work in tough alloys puts maximum stress on cutting edges. The 100i156L030A handles steel, iron, titanium, and nickel alloys at 0.1563" diameter where other tools tend to chip or wear unpredictably.

  • TiAlSiN coating adds thermal barrier protection without building up significant coating thickness that would dull the edge geometry.
  • In titanium and nickel work especially, that thermal protection keeps the substrate stable when heat generation spikes during interrupted cuts or varying engagement.
  • The R0.03" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge against micro-chipping while maintaining sharp enough geometry for clean entry into work.
  • Four flutes spread cutting forces across more edges, reducing individual flute loading in the small cross-section where tool rigidity matters most.
