Tool 100i375M015A
Steel work puts heat into the cutting edge faster than most materials can pull it out. The 100i375M015A addresses this with TiAlSiN coating. A hard aluminum layer that acts as a thermal barrier between the carbide substrate and the workpiece.
- Four flutes keep chip load consistent across the 0.375" diameter.
- When you're profiling or slotting in steel and iron, that load distribution prevents any single flute from taking excessive heat cycles.
- The R0.015" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge where it meets the workpiece, reducing the stress concentration that leads to chipping in interrupted cuts.
- TiAlSiN performs particularly well in titanium and nickel alloys where generated heat would otherwise break down uncoated carbide.
- The coating maintains hardness at temperatures where standard end mills begin to soften and wear rapidly.
