  • Four flutes keep chip load balanced across the 5" cutting diameter.
  • In large profiling and shoulder milling operations, that balance prevents the uneven wear patterns that show up as surface variation on finished parts.
  • The R0.1" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge where it contacts the workpiece, reducing the micro-chipping that leads to premature tool failure in interrupted cuts.
  • TiAlSiN coating works particularly well in titanium and nickel alloys where work hardening is a concern.
  • The coating maintains its hardness at elevated temperatures, allowing consistent cutting action even when material properties change during the cut.
