100 Series

The 100m120LA is a 12mm 4-flute end mill from the 100 Series, for profiling and finishing in steel, iron, titanium and nickel alloys. The L in the part number means a longer cut: 36mm length of cut (3x diameter), for taller walls and deeper passes.

Four flutes are the standard geometry for profiling and finishing in steel, and Sonic shapes the flute form to clear chips.
The end is center cutting, so you can ramp and plunge.
A 0.2mm corner radius holds up better than a sharp corner and leaves a 0.2mm fillet where the wall meets the floor.
The TiAlSiN coating is built for heat: it holds up to 1000°C and its low-friction surface cuts down wear.
