110 Series

Tool 110m120A

Large diameter cuts in titanium and nickel alloys generate heat faster than most tooling can handle it. The 110m120A addresses this with three flutes instead of four, trading chip volume for thermal management in a 12" cutting diameter.

  • The TiAlSiN coating adds aluminum content that forms a protective oxide layer under heat, extending tool life when cutting temperatures climb.
  • In aerospace alloys and stainless applications where heat buildup is inevitable, this aluminum-rich coating maintains hardness better than standard TiN or TiCN alternatives.
  • The R0.2" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge against chipping while maintaining a sharp enough profile for clean entry into the workpiece.
  • Three-flute geometry provides the chip evacuation space these materials need to avoid rewelding and work hardening during extended cuts in large components.
