Tool 110m200A
Heat buildup kills runs in titanium and stainless faster than dull edges do. The 110m200A addresses this with three flutes instead of four, trading maximum chip volume for the clearance that keeps temperatures manageable.
- The TiAlSiN coating adds wear resistance without the thickness that can interfere with chip evacuation in these problematic materials.
- In titanium, the coating handles the abrasive nature of the chips while the flute geometry manages the heat that would otherwise work-harden the surface ahead of the tool.
- The 0.2" corner radius distributes cutting forces over a larger area than a sharp corner, extending edge life in interrupted cuts and reducing the micro-chipping that starts tool failure in nickel alloys.
- For steel, iron, titanium, and nickel work where heat control determines success more than feed rates do.
