Tool 170i500L006A

The 170i500L006A is a 1/2" 7-flute corner radius end mill from the 170 Series, for finishing passes in steel, iron, titanium and nickel alloys. The L in the part number sets the length: 1.500" length of cut (3x diameter).

Seven flutes let you run a high table feed at a low chip load per tooth, so you can hold cycle time and still meet a tight surface finish.
Use it for finish passes at controlled engagement, and pick a lower flute count for slots and deep pockets.
The 0.006" corner radius leaves a 0.006" fillet where the wall meets the floor.
The TiAlSiN coating is built for heat: it holds up to 1000°C and its low-friction surface cuts down wear.
