Tool 200Ci188C
Aluminum chips turn into spaghetti at 3/16" diameter cuts, especially in deeper passes where evacuation gets tight. The 200Ci188C applies chipbreaker geometry to break those long stringy chips before they wrap around the tool or pack the flutes.
- Three flutes distribute cutting forces while the TiB₂ coating reduces aluminum adhesion on the cutting edges.
- This matters when heat buildup would otherwise cause material welding to the tool face.
- The R0.004" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge against chipping while maintaining sharp performance in aluminum, copper, and plastics.
- The chipbreaker notches interrupt chip formation at the source rather than relying purely on evacuation.
- Works well for slotting operations and deeper axial cuts where standard geometry struggles with chip control.
