Aluminum and copper create adhesion problems that build up on cutting edges and degrade surface finish. The 200Ci625C combines chipbreaker geometry with TiB₂ coating to address both chip evacuation and material adhesion in softer metals.

  • Three flutes maintain productivity while the chipbreaker notches segment long chips before they wrap around the tool or pack the flutes.
  • The TiB₂ coating provides a harder, more lubricious surface that reduces aluminum and copper welding to the cutting edge.
  • This becomes particularly important in deeper slotting operations where heat and pressure increase adhesion tendencies.
  • The R0.008" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge compared to sharp corner tools while still maintaining good edge definition for plastics work.
