Tool 200Cm030C
Aluminum chips get long and stringy in deeper cuts, especially at 3-inch diameters where conventional tools struggle with evacuation. The 200Cm030C adds chipbreaker geometry to segment those chips before they wrap around the spindle or pack the flutes.
- Three flutes distribute cutting forces while the chipbreaker notches create controlled break points in the chip formation.
- TiB₂ coating reduces aluminum adhesion and built-up edge formation that typically occurs in these softer materials.
- The coating runs cooler than uncoated carbide while maintaining the sharp edge geometry aluminum requires.
- Corner radius of 0.1 inches strengthens the cutting edge without creating the work hardening issues you get with larger radii in aluminum.
- Built for slotting and profiling operations in aluminum, copper, and plastics where chip control determines cycle time.
