Aluminum gets stringy at 4" diameters, and those long chips will pack your flutes before you finish the pass. The 200C Series adds aggressive chipbreaker geometry to break those ribbons into manageable segments while maintaining the three-flute advantage for balanced chip loads.

TiB₂ coating reduces aluminum pickup on the cutting edge, particularly important at this diameter where surface speeds generate significant heat even in non-ferrous materials.
The coating also extends tool life in copper and plastics where built-up edge can be problematic.
The R0.1" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge for heavier cuts while maintaining reasonable corner sharpness for aluminum work.
Three flutes distribute cutting forces evenly across the large diameter while the chipbreaker notches prevent the long spiral chips that plague standard geometries in slotting and profiling operations.
