Three flutes distribute cutting forces across a larger tool body while the chipbreaker notches segment chips into manageable pieces.
TiB₂ coating reduces aluminum adhesion on the flute faces, keeping material from welding to the tool during extended cuts.
The coating also provides thermal barrier properties for operations that generate heat through high material removal rates.
The R0.1" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge against impact loads while improving surface finish in slotting operations.
Built for copper and plastics as well, where similar chip control challenges occur during deeper passes.
