Tool 200i500C

The 200i500C is a 1/2" 3-flute end mill from the 200 Series, for slotting and side milling in aluminum. Length of cut is 1.000" (2x diameter).

Three flutes give you more cutting edges than a 2-flute end mill and still leave the chip room aluminum needs.
Sonic designs the flute to clear chips in slotting.
The end is center cutting, so you can ramp and plunge.
A 0.008" corner radius holds up better than a sharp corner and leaves a 0.008" fillet where the wall meets the floor.
TiB2 resists aluminum sticking to the edge, so you can run higher speeds and feeds than with an uncoated tool.
