Tool 200i500M060C
Built-up edge starts with heat and pressure at the cutting edge. When aluminum welds to the tool, surface finish goes bad fast and tool life drops to nothing. The problem gets worse as you push feed rates higher.
- The 200i500M060C handles this through geometry and coating working together.
- Three flutes distribute cutting load while the high helix moves chips out before they can work-harden or weld.
- The TiB₂ coating adds a thermal barrier that aluminum won't stick to, even during demanding passes where uncoated tools would fail.
- The 0.06" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge against chipping while maintaining clean entry into the cut.
- Half-inch cutting diameter works well for general aluminum removal and finishing operations.
- Also performs in copper and plastics where built-up edge causes similar problems.
