The 200 Series is a 3-flute solid carbide end mill designed for aluminum, copper, and plastics.
Three flutes distribute cutting load while maintaining reasonable feed rates, reducing the per-tooth chip load that causes aluminum to stick and build up on the edge.
High helix geometry moves chips out before they can weld to the tool.
This 0.5" diameter version carries TiB₂ coating for demanding passes where extra hardness matters.
The R0.015" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge against chipping while maintaining clean entry characteristics.
Never AlTiN on aluminum.
TiB₂ provides hardness without the aluminum affinity.
