Tool 200i625L125C

Aluminum work hardens fast when you push it too hard. Corner breakout, heat buildup, that telltale squeal when the edge starts failing. It happens when chip load exceeds what the material wants to give up cleanly.

  • The 200i625L125C runs three flutes at 5/8" diameter with an R0.125" corner radius.
  • Three flutes distribute cutting load across more edges, keeping individual chip thickness manageable while maintaining production feed rates.
  • The corner radius spreads cutting forces over more carbide, reducing stress concentration that leads to micro-chipping on entry and exit moves.
  • TiB₂ coating handles the demanding passes where uncoated carbide starts to show wear.
  • The coating maintains edge sharpness longer without the aluminum adhesion problems you get with AlTiN on non-ferrous work.
