Tool 200i750X030C

The 200i750X030C is a 3/4" 3-flute corner radius end mill from the 200 Series, for slotting and side milling in aluminum. The X in the part number sets the length: 3.000" length of cut (4x diameter).

Three flutes give you more cutting edges than a 2-flute end mill and still leave the chip room aluminum needs.
Sonic designs the flute to clear chips in slotting.
The end is center cutting, so you can ramp and plunge.
Extra flute length costs you stiffness, so pick the shortest length that clears the wall.
The 0.030" corner radius leaves a 0.030" fillet where the wall meets the floor, and it holds up better than a sharp corner.
TiB2 resists aluminum sticking to the edge, so you can run higher speeds and feeds than with an uncoated tool.
