Tool 200m040C
Large diameter aluminum cuts expose every weakness in tool selection. Heat builds faster, chip evacuation becomes critical, and any coating mismatch shows up immediately as built-up edge or poor surface finish.
- This 4" diameter end mill uses three flutes to distribute cutting load while maintaining aggressive feed rates through aluminum, copper, and plastics.
- The geometry keeps individual chip loads manageable even at scale.
- TiB₂ coating handles the demanding passes where uncoated tools would struggle with heat buildup, but unlike AlTiN, it won't react chemically with aluminum workpieces.
- The R0.1" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge against chipping while improving surface finish on vertical walls.
- High helix angles move chips out before they can weld to the tool or workpiece.
