Tool 200m040FC
Large aluminum parts expose every weakness in your tooling. Feed rates drop, surface finish suffers, and built-up edge becomes inevitable when the cutter can't move chips fast enough. The problem gets worse as diameter increases.
- The 200m040FC handles 4-inch cutting diameters in aluminum, copper, and plastics without the typical compromises.
- Three flutes distribute chip load across more cutting edges while the high helix geometry moves material away from the cut zone before adhesion starts.
- TiB₂ coating adds wear resistance for demanding roughing passes where aluminum tries to weld to the tool surface.
- The R0.1" corner radius strengthens the cutting edge at this diameter while maintaining clean entry into the workpiece.
- Built-up edge prevention comes from geometry and evacuation.
