- The TiB₂ coating provides a low-friction surface that reduces aluminum adhesion while maintaining the sharp edge geometry needed for clean entry in soft materials.
- Two flutes create maximum chip evacuation space, critical when the curved ball nose geometry changes engagement angles continuously during profiling operations.
- The coating also extends tool life in plastics where built-up edge formation can degrade surface finish.
