The 220i188LC is a 2-flute solid carbide ball nose end mill for contouring and profiling in aluminum, copper, and plastics.
The 0.1875" cutting diameter handles detailed 3D work while maintaining reasonable rigidity for most aluminum grades.
TiB₂ coating provides a harder, more wear-resistant surface that resists aluminum buildup better than uncoated carbide.
The coating's lower friction coefficient helps chips evacuate from the curved ball nose geometry where they tend to pack.
Two flutes keep chip loads manageable while providing the clearance space aluminum needs to exit cleanly from complex curved surfaces.
