The 220m030FC is a 3-inch diameter 2-flute solid carbide ball nose end mill for contouring and profiling in aluminum, copper, and plastics.
The wide flute spacing gives chips maximum room to evacuate before they can weld to the cutting edge.
TiB₂ coating adds a hard, low-friction surface that resists aluminum buildup and extends tool life in continuous profiling operations.
The coating also provides thermal barrier properties that help manage heat at the larger cutting diameter.
Two flutes balance cutting efficiency with chip clearance, particularly important when the ball nose geometry creates varying chip loads across the curved cutting surface.
