The 220m030LC is a 3-inch diameter 2-flute solid carbide ball nose end mill for contouring and profiling in aluminum, copper, and plastics.
The TiB₂ coating provides thermal barrier properties that reduce heat transfer to the carbide substrate while maintaining the sharp edge geometry aluminum requires.
Two flutes create maximum chip evacuation space around the large cutting circumference, preventing chip packing that leads to heat buildup and workpiece welding.
The coating's low friction coefficient reduces cutting forces across the extended contact zone typical in 3D profiling operations.
