- The 220m040C is a 2-flute solid carbide ball nose end mill designed for heavy aluminum contouring work.
- The TiB₂ coating provides a harder, more chemically inert surface that resists aluminum adhesion while maintaining thermal stability under the heat loads typical of large diameter operations.
- Two flutes keep chip load per tooth high enough for effective cutting while maintaining maximum evacuation space around the curved cutting zone.
- The geometry works in aluminum, copper, and plastics where chip welding and heat buildup limit tool life in traditional configurations.
