The 220m040FC is a 4-inch cutting diameter, 2-flute solid carbide ball nose end mill designed for 3D profiling and contouring in aluminum, copper, and plastics.
The TiB₂ coating provides a hard, low-friction surface that reduces aluminum adhesion while conducting heat away from the cutting edge.
Two flutes maintain maximum chip clearance even at this larger diameter, preventing chip packing in complex geometries where tool engagement varies continuously.
The coating's chemical inertness helps maintain consistent surface finishes across long production runs.
