The 220m100C is a 10" diameter 2-flute solid carbide ball nose end mill designed for heavy aluminum contouring work.
The TiB₂ coating provides superior thermal barrier properties compared to conventional coatings, reducing aluminum adhesion during extended cuts.
Two flutes maintain maximum chip evacuation even at this diameter, preventing chip packing that leads to work hardening and surface finish problems.
The open flute geometry becomes critical at larger diameters where chip volume increases exponentially.
TiB₂'s low friction coefficient helps chips exit cleanly from the curved ball nose profile, maintaining consistent surface finish across complex 3D geometries in aluminum, copper, and plastics.
