Four flutes balance surface finish with chip evacuation on the 0.25" cutting diameter.
The reduced neck provides clearance for deep V-grooves and chamfers in confined geometries while the short overall length minimizes deflection.
AlTiN coating extends tool life in steel applications where heat buildup degrades uncoated carbide.
The coating also reduces adhesion when cutting aluminum, preventing built-up edge formation that compromises surface quality.
The 60-degree included angle handles standard chamfer angles and most V-groove specifications across steel, aluminum, and general machinable metals.
