Cutting both sides of a 120-degree V-groove in one pass eliminates the setup time and alignment errors that come with multiple operations. The 920i3248C handles this with six flutes distributed around a 0.5" diameter, maintaining rigidity through the reduced 0.3125" neck section.

The TiB₂ coating provides better wear resistance than uncoated tools when working steel and aluminum, extending tool life in production runs.
The titanium diboride forms a hard, low-friction surface that reduces built-up edge formation on sticky materials.
Six flutes give a finer surface finish compared to four-flute designs while maintaining adequate chip evacuation space.
This geometry works well for chamfering operations, V-groove profiles in fixtures, and double-sided bevels where precise angular relationships matter.
The 120-degree included angle covers most standard chamfer requirements without requiring custom tooling.
